4-4-18 – 50 Years of Opening Doors: OHFA Celebrates National Fair Housing Month
OHFA joins organizations across the country in recognizing April as National Fair Housing Month and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Fair Housing Act.
3-28-18 – OHFA and OCCH Announce First Race for a Place (to Call Home) 5K
This family-friendly event will take place in downtown Columbus on Saturday, April 7, 2018. This race will raise awareness about the positive impact affordable housing has on communities and the lives of residents.
3-21-18 – Governor John Kasich Appoints Duana M. Patton to OHFA's Board
Ms. Patton has 30 years of experience with nonprofit organizations. As CEO of the Ohio District Five Area Agency on Aging, Inc., she has focused on collaborating with local organizations to provide resources to seniors in the agency's nine-county area.
1-24-18 – OHFA Awards Funding to Central Ohio Housing Opportunity Project, Move to PROSPER
The program will provide short-term rental support to help families with young children move to high-opportunity neighborhoods that are safe, have quality schools, provide access to employment and possess other indicators of opportunity.
1-2-18 – OHFA Joins Fight to Reduce Infant Mortality and Awards Funding for Housing Assistance Program
OHFA has announced that CelebrateOne, a Franklin County-based organization created to reduce infant mortality, will receive funding to implement a pilot program to provide rental assistance, health care, social services and more to low-income households at risk for infant mortality.

12-8-17 – At-Risk Private Activity Bonds Provide Necessary Housing and Grow Ohio's Economy
Tax-exempt private activity bonds (PABs) were first defined in 1968 by Congress, and their uses have expanded into both multifamily rental production and single-family mortgages. As differences between the tax reform bills are reconciled in the House and Senate, tax-exempt private activity bonds hang in the balance, including potentially 40 percent of Ohio's affordable housing units and the future of the state's economic growth.

This year's conference, Coming Together in Ohio, addresses the latest and most pressing issues in housing with speakers from across the United States.
10-2-17 – OHFA Expands Hardest Hit Fund Programs to Improve Ohio's Communities
Save the Dream Ohio (SDO) has expanded its programs to assist homeowners with certain types of disabilities, not just those who have experienced unemployment. Homeowners may be eligible for up to $35,000 in assistance to pay delinquent property taxes, reinstate mortgages and make monthly mortgage payments.
7-19-17 – OHFA Announces 2017 Housing Tax Credit Program Recipients, Awarding More Than $27 Million to Create Affordable Housing Options
OHFA's Board announced the recipients of the 2017 Housing Tax Credit (HTC) program awards, used to fund the construction, acquisition and rehabilitation of affordable housing communities throughout Ohio.

OHFA announced that several milestones have been met under the Hardest Hit Fund Save the Dream Ohio (SDO) programs.

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) and Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) will host the second biennial Starting at Home Conference April 27-28.
3-29-17 – OHFA Names Sean Thomas as Next Executive Director
OHFA is pleased to announce the hiring of Sean Thomas as the Agency's next executive director. The OHFA Board unanimously approved his nomination at their meeting in February.
3-6-17 – OHFA Releases Report Detailing Statewide Economic Impact Of The Ohio Housing Trust Fund
The Trust Fund provides financing to organizations, private developers, local governments and others interested in increasing affordable housing opportunities, working to reduce homelessness and improving housing conditions for low income residents throughout the state of Ohio.
