This year's conference, Coming Together in Ohio, addresses the latest and most pressing issues in housing with speakers from across the United States.
10-2-17 – OHFA Expands Hardest Hit Fund Programs to Improve Ohio's Communities
Save the Dream Ohio (SDO) has expanded its programs to assist homeowners with certain types of disabilities, not just those who have experienced unemployment. Homeowners may be eligible for up to $35,000 in assistance to pay delinquent property taxes, reinstate mortgages and make monthly mortgage payments.

OHFA's Board announced the recipients of the 2017 Housing Tax Credit (HTC) program awards, used to fund the construction, acquisition and rehabilitation of affordable housing communities throughout Ohio.

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) and Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) will host the second biennial Starting at Home Conference April 27-28.
3-29-17 – OHFA Names Sean Thomas as Next Executive Director
OHFA is pleased to announce the hiring of Sean Thomas as the Agency's next executive director. The OHFA Board unanimously approved his nomination at their meeting in February.
3-6-17 – OHFA Releases Report Detailing Statewide Economic Impact Of The Ohio Housing Trust Fund
The Trust Fund provides financing to organizations, private developers, local governments and others interested in increasing affordable housing opportunities, working to reduce homelessness and improving housing conditions for low income residents throughout the state of Ohio.

10-19-16 – Fifth Round of Hardest Hit Funds Allows OHFA to Continue the Fight Against Foreclosure and Blight
OHFA announced the recipients of additional funding under the Neighborhood Initiative Program (NIP), a program designed to help prevent foreclosures and stabilize local property values through the demolition and greening of vacant and blighted homes across the state.
10-5-16 – 18th Annual Ohio Housing Conference Aims to Further Affordable Housing Initiatives That Strengthen Communities and Families
The nation's largest statewide housing conference begins Tuesday, November 8 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, and will be hosted by the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) and the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH).
9-26-16 – OHFA Re-Opening Save the Dream Ohio, Allocating $25 Million to Ohio Homeowners Who Are Struggling to Pay Their Mortgage Due to Unemployment
OHFA has begun accepting applications from homeowners who have suffered a hardship resulting from unemployment for its Save the Dream Ohio program. The program is administered by OHFA and funded by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Hardest Hit Fund.
7-20-16 – Study Suggests Benefits of Supportive Housing for Transitional Age Youth; Details Roadmap for Housing Providers to Follow
OHFA released a report on a housing program for transitional age youth administered by Daybreak, Inc. located in Dayton and serving residents of the Miami Valley, who offers a diverse array of programs and housing for children and young adults who have experienced homelessness.

5-18-16 – OHFA Board Approves Resolution to Create New Affordable Housing in Over-the-Rhine District
OHFA's Board approved funding that will create new affordable housing units in an area of targeted revitalization, the Over-The-Rhine (OTR) Historic District in Cincinnati.
4-20-16 – OHFA Board Approves Resolution to Rehabilitate 500 Units of Affordable Family Housing in the Dayton Area
OHFA's Board approved up to $25.7 million for affordable housing initiatives throughout the state of Ohio.
4-1-16 – OHFA Celebrates 48th Annual Fair Housing Month
OHFA joins the nation in observing April as Fair Housing Month.
3-18-16 – OHFA Board Affirms its Commitment to Serving Ohio's Most Vulnerable Residents
OHFA was recognized by the Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS) for its partnership in offering safe and affordable housing options for Ohioans with mental illnesses and/or substance addictions.
2-19-16 – OHFA Board Commits $1.5 Million for Nelsonville Development, Allocates More Than $26.1 Million to Additional Affordable Housing Initiatives
The Board also approved an additional $10 million through the HDL program, more than $2.2 million through the Housing Development Assistance Program (HDAP), up to $9.2 million in Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds and a Multifamily Lending Program (MLP) loan in the amount of $1.9 million. Additionally, the Board approved $4.28 million in Capital Funding to End Homelessness Initiative (CFEHI) funds.
1-21-16 – OHFA Board Approves More Than $12.3 Million for Affordable Housing Initiatives for Ohioans
OHFA's Board approved $10.5 million through the Housing Development Loan (HDL) program, $550,000 through the Housing Development Assistance Program (HDAP) and more than $1.3 million through the Multifamily Lending Program (MLP).
